Boston Bomber Suspects Revealed To Be Brothers

Police shot one marathon bombing suspect dead and mounted a massive manhunt for the second during a night of terror that left a college cop dead and a transit officer seriously injured, authorities said early Friday.
Tightening a noose around the fugitive – identified by the Associated Press as Dzhokhar A. Tsamaev, 19, of Cambridge – authorities suspended all regional subway and bus service and shut down the Boston suburb of Watertown Friday morning, blocking vehicles from coming in and out and businesses from opening.
The terror attack suspects hail from near the restive Russia region of Chechnya and lived in the U.S. for at least one year.
The chaos broke out about 10:30 p.m. Thursday at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, where a campus police officer was fatally gunned down, officials said.
It continued with a carjacking and a wild road chase – during which the suspects lobbed explosives out the window of the stolen vehicle, authorities said. And by early Friday, the madness reached nearby Watertown.
That’s where shocked bystanders said they witnessed a terrifying shootout and the detonation of at least one pressure cooker bomb like those used in the Boston Marathon bomb attack.
One male suspect, identified in reports as the marathon suspect caught on video Monday in a black cap, was shot during the case and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.



In addition to the MIT officer that was shot, a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority officer was also wounded and is currently in critical condition.
